David's Best in the Midwest!

ARBC teaching maestro David Bakhshi, has won the Silodor Open Pairs at the US Spring Nationals. David is the first englishman to win a major US pairs title in over fifteen years. David's victory was all the more impressive as he had never played a board with his partner before the event. You can read about the story in the American Contract Bridge Leagues daily bulletin.

News.......Caroline and all the staff at the ARBC would like to congratulate Andrew upon his award of an OBE in The Queens New Year Honour list. 

A word from Andrew: "I am absolutely bowled over by this award, which I accept on behalf of all Bridge lovers and especially Club Members. I hope you will all take some well deserved reflected glory, as in many ways we achieved it together by our love of Bridge, plus the spirit in which we play it. It is fabulous for Bridge to be recognised in this way and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to all those within the Club who made it happen (behind my back!). I look forward to seeing you in the New Year, when we can all celebrate together." Andrew.
